The Camlin Hotel Museum (yes, there is one!) recently acquired this apparently 1960s era banner  The curator of the museum knows litle else about it.

The Camlin Hotel Celebrates Birthday #82

The Camlin Hotel in downtown Seattle opened its doors on Halloween night, October 31, 1926.

Since then, the Camlin has been a fixture in downtown Seattle, welcoming literally millions of guests over the years.

This blog is dedicated to this truly unique hotel and the famous nightclub, The Cloud Room, that graced the 11th Floor.

Sadly, the Cloud Room is now gone but the Camlin remains, a proud relic of another time with a fascinating history that reads like a novel---except no one would believe a story that bizarre.

I hope you will participate in this blog and post your memories of the Camlin and The Cloud Room. Your photographs are especially welcome as I attempt to build a lasting memorial to the Camlin.
